Carillion chief executive says vote at EGM a significant step in company's development
An overwhelming majority of Alfred McAlpine shareholders have approved the company’s £572m takeover by Carillion at an extraordinary general meeting yesterday.
John McDonough, Carillion chief executive said he was “delighted” and called the deal “a significant step in Carillion’s development”.
Alfred McAlpine should officially become part of Carillion in February if the takeover proceeds as planned.
