Construction services group generates £2.9m profit from sale to the Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund.
Alfred McAlpine has sold its skate in Mercia Healthcare to the Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund for £5.6m.
The sale of Mercia, which operates a PFI scheme on behalf of Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust, will generate an exceptional profit of £2.9m.
Alfred McAlpine’s chief executive Ian Grice said: “The current appetite for secondary equity has given us the opportunity to realise our invesetments in Mercia – and the proceeds will now be reinvested in new projects.”
The Mercia scheme reached financial close in 1999 and was opened in October 2003.
