Islington development comprises 150 homes by developer First Base
Plans for a 150-home development in north London designed by architect AHMM have been submitted for planning.
The scheme, by developer First Base, is proposed on a 1.5 acre site of a former Territorial Army centre in Parkhurst Road in the London borough of Islington.
It comprises three brick-clad blocks intended to reach level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes and set within a landscape garden and courtyard.
Elliot Lipton, managing director at First Base, has described AHMM’s proposed scheme as an “inspirational design that complements the surrounding architecture and character of the area”, which is close to three separate tube stations - Tufnell Park, Angel and Highbury.
AHMM previous designed the developer’s Adelaide Wharf housing scheme in Shoreditch.
