Southwold semi triples in value in just two years
An ‘affordable’ home bought in the seaside town of Southwold for £180,000 was put on the market just two years later for £500,000.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, a contract blunder allowed the ‘affordable’ homes to be sold on the open market as no protective clause was inserted in to the contracts.
Solicitor Katie Mantin, who bought the three-bed semi two years ago, has now taken the property off the market.
Miss Mantin’s partner told the Telegraph they had qualified for the scheme because she had lived in Southwold for 32 years.
