Firm joined by Hopkins Architects
Aecom is designing a teaching and research building for the University of Exeter with Hopkins Architects, after the pair won a design competition for the new Project North Park scheme.
The building will be one of the largest investments made by the university over the past ten years, and will be located on its Streatham Campus just north of the Exeter city centre.
Aecom teams in Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol, Southampton, Cambridge and London will work on the project.
The cost of the building is not yet known but a spokesperson for the university said: “We are currently working with Aecom and Hopkins Architects to explore a number of investment options for the new building. We hope to make a decision by February 2019.”
Perfect Circle, a partnership between Aecom, Gleeds and Pick Everard, was appointed by the University of Bristol to design a £300m new campus in June.
Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus will include academic teaching space, a gym, a health centre, and accommodation for 1,500 students.
