Firm says global network of experience will establish Aecom as global leader in tall buildings
Davis Langdon has formed a “Tall Buildings Group” to bring together experts in high-rise construction from across the Aecom group of companies.
Aecom, which bought Davis Langdon last August, also purchased American contractor Tishman which is currently the construction manager on the replacement World Trade Centre in New York.
The group will be headed by Steve Watts, Davis Langdon’s director, and Hamib Adib, Aecom’s senior vice president, who is based in New York.
Watts said: “Tall buildings have enjoyed a sustained period of growth since the turn of the century but we are now facing an unprecedented economic environment. Global trends are rightly sharpening the focus on high-rise cost and value drivers, and the new group will enable us to bring together experts in their fields, to respond to these challenges.”
The group is an extension of the Davis Langdon Tall Buildings Group that was formed in 2005.
