Geocel and Dow Building Solutions have launched an acoustic, fire-rated straw foam for plugging cracks and gaps in applications that have a requirement for fire protection or for compliance for acoustic performance under Approved Document E of the Building Regulations.

The Great Stuff Pro is a one component, moisture curing, polyurethane foam which achieves a B1 rating and has a four-hour fire rating with a concrete gap size of 15mm x 220mm according to BS 476 Part 20.

The foam can be used with concrete, plaster, brickwork, stone, wood, metal and most plastics. It is touch dry in 10 minutes and can be cut and sanded in around 60 minutes.
