Civils and Lintels, in partnership with RDT Chamber Solutions, has introduced a system to overcome problems associated with conventional access chambers surrounded by a shallow depth of concrete.
The Centurion Plus and RapidStack+ is a no-concrete surround and frameless quick-build system. It complies with health and safety requirements for one-man lift and allows designer and installer to use a range of decorative surfaces in prestigious developments.
The new chamber system has been designed and tested to meet the requirements of BSEN124, and can be used in traffic-signal, street-lighting and CCTV installations. It can also accommodate a wider range of services for the telecoms or water industries that require larger access chambers. Sizes range from 290mm x 275mm to 1,200mm x 600mm and the product is available in single or twin units.
The chamber sections are manufactured from Thermoset moulding compounds and are designed for use with the Centurion anti-slip composite lid. This simply drops into place, thus removing the use of a galvanised steel or ductile iron frame.
