Plans for a £1.5m square in Birmingham have been unveiled by the city council

The design by architect Capita Lovejoy for Jewellery Quarter will have spaces for markets and exhibitions. The scheme, known as Golden Square, also includes an orchard and a promenade that celebrates the countries that have been trading partners with the district, such as Australia and South Africa.
