Architect HawkinsBrown has won planning permission for this redevelopment of the former Watney Mann brewery site in Stockwell, south London.
The £53m Bottle Store scheme, developed by City & Provincial, will reclad the brewery's original bottle store with a semi-translucent facade. The scheme, which also involves constructing a residential building on the site of an existing warehouse, will create 290 homes as well as commercial office space, retail units, a health centre and small business start-up space. It is planned that 60% of the homes will be affordable.
