Against the background of huge impending changes in how people work at height, the International Powered Access Federation is empasising the importance of operator training. The Health and Safety Council has already estimated that new regulations will see between 45,000 and 70,000 workers move away from using ladders to other forms of access. IPAF’s PAL Card is a widely recognised and highly regarded proof of platform operator training. Already 120,000 have been trained and 200 more apply for training each working day.
