The official launch of the Central Academy for Security Excellence, sponsored by Initial Security, has taken place at its head office in Milton Keynes.

CASE, which has been operating since January, has been created to support training and development programmes for individuals involved in the security industry. The main focus of the academy is on large corporate training programmes, covering security awareness and specialist training tailored to the requirements of the relevant industry or sector.

The CASE team is made up of 13 dedicated trainers, as well as a number of external specialists.

CASE managing director Mike Bluestone said: "We've had a very successful time since our opening in January which has been reflected in the number of high profile customers we're now working with."

Initial's Richard Moule said: "CASE has a strong commitment to helping raise the standards of the security industry and through working with such key clients I'm sure we will be able to achieve this."
