The British Woodworking Federation has published the 2004 edition of its BWF-Certifire Scheme Directory, which lists every BWF-Certifire approved manufacturer and supplier of fire doors and associated components. As correct fire door installation is vital to the safety of any building, the directory is an essential reference document for all those involved in the specification, installation and maintenance of fire doors.

Under the BWF-Certifire Scheme, all fire doors and doorsets supplied by participating manufacturers are subjected to a rigorous and comprehensive appraisal by independent UKAS accredited test laboratories. The appraisal tests every part of the door assembly from door leaf and frame to intumescent seals, ironmongery and glazing.
