Visionlink plus has appointed Martin Butterworth as its UK sales director. Butterworth has over 25 years' experience in the electronic security sector, with the last 19 devoted to CCTV and access control. He was instrumental in setting up the CCTV distribution organisation Network Video Centre.
- Axis Communications has announced the three winners of its 'fastest installer' competition held at IIPSEC 2005. Attendees were asked to successfully configure an Axis 206W wireless network camera. The winners of an Apple iPod were: Jason Crichlow of IPNRG (1 minute 17 seconds); Paul Curran of SM Technology (31.53 seconds); and Richard Lee of Tyco (1 minute 15 seconds).

- Rokonet has been recognised for its design and quality at the Sicurezza exhibition in Milan, when its high ceiling-mount motion detector, the Industrial Lunar, was voted as a Hi.
