Roland Gredig (right) has been appointed president at major systems supplier, Bystronic Maschinen AG. Mr Gredig succeeds Rolf Honegger, who had previously held the post in addition to his position as CEO of Bystronic glass.

Bystronic Maschinen AG is part of the Bystronic glass group, one of the leading suppliers of total solutions for the economical, application-engineered manufacture of architectural and automotive glass.

Roland Gredig, a trained machine engineer, has been engaged in various executive positions at Bystronic for 11 years, including eight years at Bystronic Laser AG. Prior to his appointment as President, he was Head of Operations at Bystronic Maschinen AG.

He continues, ‘We have developed new procedures for architectural glass cutting, such as the vertical cutting technology, which provides our customers with significant logistical and cost advantages.’
