The refurbishment and repair of the silicone, fully four-sided structurally bonded, curtain walling system at Network House, Kings Langley (pictured), was carried out by Structura UK Ltd and included installing over 200 pieces of special, royal blue coloured, reflective Luxguard glass from Belgium to match existing glazing.

The external remedial work is part of a £5 million, 40-week refurbishment of the three-storey building, which had been left unoccupied and vandalised for several years, undertaken by Blenheim House Construction Ltd, principal contractor, on behalf of F & C Properties.

Structura’s work included removing the existing aluminium frames, bonding the new glass and refitting the 24mm thick windows. Within the curtain walling, Structura replaced 50 opening vents.

The company also supplied 12 single toughened glass manual doors, also with Luxguard royal blue, eight for exit into the building’s courtyard and four external doors.
