I read with interest your JCT article (Design flaw in new JCT contract, expert claims, QS News, 9 September), in particular the paragraph relating to the new electronic version.

I have been in contact with JCT Customer Services and Sweet & Maxwell and was told the new system is designed to be loaded onto individual PCs.

I was given no guarantee the application will be available to be run across a central file server. While I am not against loading copies of the software onto individual workstations, I am somewhat confused as to whether the data and licence information can be stored on a central file server. I want to be given the choice to use the licences anywhere on the network and not be restricted to using them on individual workstations. Can QS News shed some light on this problem?
