Engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald is to provide the engineering services for a £31m campus for Stourbridge College in the West Midlands.
Mott MacDonald is to provide civil, structural and mechanical and engineering design for the project, which is aiming for a BREEAM rating of 'excellent'.
The campus will use a biomass boiler as part of its heating system, and will accommodate the college’s Visual, Performing Arts and Music Departments including performance and rehearsal spaces.
Mott MacDonald’s project manager, Richard Fry, said: “We are pleased to be involved in this project which forms part of the regeneration plan for Brierley Hill. We aim to help deliver a campus that demonstrates good practice in sustainability and that can be enjoyed by the local community and future generations of students for years to come.”
