Mott MacDonald has been appointed as design engineer on a £100m tower building in Bahrain.
The consultancy was appointed by the Ithmaar Development Company, and is to provide designs for all civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering for the project.
This will include all the lifts, escalators and staircases throughout the 44-story building as well as its fire and safety requirements.
Alan Worley, Mott MacDonald’s project director and company representative for Bahrain said: “We are delighted to be awarded this prestigious project by Ithmaar Development Company and aim to bring our global expertise in tall buildings to the project and hopefully other projects in the future.”
The tower will contain offices, residential apartments and a four-star hotel, and is set to become one of the tallest buildings in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
