Tony Morgan, chair of the Wessex Group, has been appointed president of the ECA.
Morgan began his career by qualifying as a craft electrician with the Southern Electricity Board. In 1963 he founded Wessex Electrical: today the group, which also encompasses Wessex Fire and Security, is a multi-disciplined organisation with a over 250 employees and a turnover of £16 million.

In addition to his duties with the Wessex Group, Morgan has been an active member of the ECA since 1977. He was chair of the Bournemouth and Dorset branch for seven years and chaired the Central South Regional Executive Committee in 2002/03.

With a particular interest in the security industry, Morgan has also chaired the ECA Fire & Security Steering Group since its inception in 1992.
