Your March edition is one of the best issues I have read, but in your leader you mention ‘around 20 recessions in 175 years’ without indicating when, where and how these happened. Also, how did we extricate ourselves from these recessions?

Personally I have been through at least five ‘construction recessions’: 1968 Aberdeen; 1977 Africa (Zambia, Rhodesia, South Africa); early 1980s London; 1990 London/Isle of Man; and now unemployed in Putney.
