I would like to correct the misinformation in your West Midlands Regional Focus, and the section headed “Making Themselves Decent” (HT 12 November).

It refers to Birmingham City Council’s option appraisal and states it will cost £160m. This is not the case. The figure you quote refers to an estimated investment gap identified by the council in its proposed investment strategy for council housing in Birmingham, which seeks to achieve the Government’s Decent Home Standard by 2010. Working with tenants at a district level, the council is exploring all options for closing the investment gap.
