Young electrician with P&R Hurt takes Award
Matthew Williams, a 21-year-old electrician from Somerset was won the 2009 ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Award.
Williams, an electrician with P&R Hurt, was the unanimous choice of the judges and wins a cheque for £1000 from Edmundson Electrical, a European study tour courtesy of Legrand and an electrician’s testing kit from Robin.
P&R Hurt runs a training centre as well as an electrical contracting business. His employer applauded Matthew’s skills, attention to detail, problem solving and customer liaison.
“This is the 22nd time I’ve hosted this Award,” said Edmundson Electrical’s md Douglas McNair, “and this is the most challenging business environment in those 22 years. It is encouraging that the ECA and its members continue to invest in the lifeblood of this vital industry.”
