Maple house monday: Housing Corporation staff staged a one-day strike over pay on Monday. According to the corporation, 212 of its 600 employees joined in the action, but union Amicus said three-quarters of workers at the corporation's London headquarters stayed away from work. The union dubbed the strike a success but a corporation spokesman said work was largely unaffected.
