The restored huts of the Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park were opened on Wednesday by the Duchess of Cambridge. The huts, where codebreakers worked in secret to break Nazi cyphers and gather intelligence during the Second World War, had fallen into disrepair (see inset). The project was managed by consultancy Artelia UK and received £8m lottery funding.
