Nationwide Security Ltd, has come up with a "low cost" way of protecting construction and other vulnerable sites where guarding is not affordable.

It is providing its customers with a rented, compact mobile CCTV system in the form of an extendable (up to 8metre) pole mounted on a box trailer containing the transmission equipment and self sufficient power supply.

Mounted on top of the pole is a 360 deg colour camera and eight motion detectors giving 360 degree coverage plus an audio system to warn-off intruders.

The secured module transmits via radio or conventional cabling to digital recording equipment located at a site office or other suitable building and Nationwide says it can be delivered and running within two hours.
