Rod Sweet’s editorial in April’s CM tells us that final year students require a clear, structured approach to developing their skills. I would recommend that Mr Sweet adopt this approach in writing his leader.

If he seriously considers that the real image problem for the building industry is “big beefy white guys”, then perhaps CM should take the logical step of recommending that they are replaced by small skinny black women as soon as possible.

On the subject of clarity, what was the point of the April’s ‘Letter of the Month’? The resentful Mr Gover appeared to imply that his students were already corrupt? If so, let’s get rid of them, along with the beefy white guys. That’s what I say.

Annie Wright’s letter on the same page (‘Rotten to the core’) was much more interesting. Anyone who can write “A Greek nuclear physicist told me…” can’t be bad.

Finally, and without a trace of sarcasm, I congratulate you on a lively magazine, which I always enjoy reading.
