Lorien moves to commercial sector

Multi disciplinary firm Lorien Engineering Solutions is moving into the commercial construction sector. The company has announced it will bring its mechanical and engineering skills to the sector which currently suffers from skills shortages.

Lorien’s Bill Miles said: “Truly skilled engineers are very hard to find and coupled with that apprenticeships are drying up. We are keen to work with surveyors and developers around the UK.”

The 2005 Chartered Institute of Building survey revealed that 65% of members questioned felt that the current workforce was not sufficiently skilled.

Miles added: “Lorien can offer teams of qualified engineers with multi disciplinary experience.”
