An £8.2m restoration of the listed pavilion at the Lord’s cricket ground in St John’s Wood, north London, has been completed in time for this year’s Ashes series against Australia.

Davis Langdon acted as QS and project manager on the job, which was completed on time and within budget. Architect Ettwein Bridges dreamt up the transformation of the grade II-listed pavilion, which was originally designed by Thomas Verity in 1889. Contractor Mice Sames carried out the work, which included the creation of new floor space, a new roof and the restoration of the Long Room.
