I was disappointed that the article on choice-based lettings ("Choice of a New Generation", 4 July, page 32) neglected to mention west London's Locata scheme.

Locata advertises – on the web and in a fortnightly magazine – all social housing in Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow, and all the stock owned in these boroughs by Paddington Churches, Ealing Family and Paradigm housing associations.

In the last quarter Locata advertised more than 2000 properties and received nearly 24,000 bids. Since the scheme started in October 2002, it has housed 2280 people.
