This year we have covered a staggering number of companies that have reached major milestones. Metal Technology and Maco UK are two of the companies featured this month, both celebrating their 20th anniversaries.

It’s good to see that longevity can apply to the window industry, which still battles with a reputation for phoenix companies that issue worthless guarantees.

Industry people can adapt and embrace change, to their advantage. Legislation outlawing age discrimination in the workplace, which came into force in October, reinforces this argument. And today’s products are both high-tech and ‘green’.

It’s a tough market out there, but evidently many firms are making this headline a reality.
