A new, lightweight block camera has been designed for applications from automatic number plate recognition and CCTV to machinery inspection and medical imaging.

The 54G26, from Premier Electronics, is small – 46.8mm x 63.5mm x 87mm – so can be used in confined spaces. It has a 6.35mm CCD sensor providing 625 TV lines (PAL) of resolution for accurate object imaging and crisp colour reproduction. Features include super digital noise reduction to enhance picture quality. The 54G26 camera has a 26x optical power zoom lens and 10x digital zoom for up-close inspection and image definition.
