The lighting load at the world heritage site of Bath’s Roman Baths has been cut from over 12,000W to 2670W.

Sill Lighting UK used groups of 35W projectors, some with additional narrow-beam 70W fittings for specific highlighting, to preserve the historic ambiance. Existing wiring points were used to minimise disruption to the site. All lighting has to withstand the high humidity generated by the hot thermal spring water that flows into the baths. For the project Sill drew on its experience of lighting at the Royal Albert Hall and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.
