Helvar’s lighting controls are helping to create the perfect atmosphere at the Music Research Centre in York.
Located on the University of York campus, the centre includes the 150-seat Rymer Auditorium.
Electrical contractor Morfitts Building Services installed wall-mounted Imagine dimmers from Helvar in the Centre. These provide lighting control for the main auditorium and ensure lighting levels create the prefect conditions for performances.
The system allows technical staff to select from a range of lighting scenes for each individual performance. Access to the system is via a touch-button panel that includes a visual display of scene and channel levels and allows adjustment of the pre-set scenes. Infrared remote control of the system is also possible.
Digidim has been installed in the basement recording studio to complement the musical performances and production. These are complete with silent performance transistor dimmers.
