Emerson Network Power has launched the Liebert XD range of ad-hoc precision cooling systems for use in datacentres.

The units are designed for cooling specific areas that host racks equipped with additional servers (or high density solutions, such as blade servers), without having to redefine the overall architecture of the environment. It delivers cooling levels ranging from 5 kW to 15 kW per rack and can be mounted as an above rack module or overhead module. Also launched is the Liebert XDFN, an all-in-one cabinet solution for datacentres.
