South Korean air conditioning giant LG is to aggressively market its products in the UK in a bid to grow its share of this lucrative sector.
In 2003 LG turned over around $2.3 billion in air conditioning equipment sales. The company predicts this will grow to $4 billion by 2005. LG has a 20% global market share, is number one in the worldwide residential market and is aiming for top spot in the commercial air conditioning market.

Growth in the UK, where LG currently accounts for around 10% of the £60 million market and is ranked fourth in sales, is expected to come from its new Multi V variable refrigerant flow system, as well as its design-conscious Art Cool units.
