Two major names in the electrical market have come together to give contractors access to a wider range of products. The partnership takes effect on 1 June.
Electrical installation equipment manufacturers Lewden Electrical Industries and Palazzoli have come together in a partnership which will make both companies' products more accessible to the electrical contractor.
The partnership deal takes effect on 1 June 2006. It will see Lewden take Palazzoli's products through the wholesale route and Palazzoli reciprocate in the specification sector.
Lewden is best known for its industrial plugs and sockets, site electrics, weathertight range, rcd units, enclosures and conduit fittings. Palazzoli, headquartered in Italy, is massive in Europe but not so well known in the UK. The deal will see its industrial equipment, control devices and lighting fixtures gain more exposure through UK wholesalers.
"The Lewden-Palazzoli partnership brings together two very strong brands and will give our customers a much wider range of products from which to choose," said Alan Green, managing director of Lewden.
"This coming together will also provide enhanced opportunities for specification and project activity, adding value to our distributor relationships," Green added. A joint catalogue is to be issued early in 2007.
