With classes to remain undisturbed and health and safety of prime concern, updating a school fire and security system while the building remains operable is a complex task.
Such an upgrade has been achieved at Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School in Essex. The installation took only six weeks and employed the use of Pirelli FP Firefix.

The installation was carried out during term time. This led to the selection of the Pirelli system as the noise levels could be kept much lower than traditional screw-fixing techniques.

Around 2500 Pirelli FP Firefix clips were used to install and fix the FP200 Gold cables for the new fire alarm system. Four electricians from Blake Fire & Security Systems carried out the installation.
