Firm breaks into a new market, starting with a series of school projects in Northamptonshire
Lend Lease Projects has won a three-year framework from Northamptonshire County Council. The firm will provide project management and design services on the local authority’s £25m-a-year capital works programme.
Lend Lease will carry out around 10 projects a year for Northamptonshire. The work will focus mainly on schools, with some work on libraries, fire stations, nursing homes, hostels and offices.
Lend Lease has been given an initial three school projects: the £26m new build of Kingswood Secondary School, the £4.5m new build of Oakley Vale Primary and the £400,000 extension to Mawsley School.
Peter O’Connor, project director at Lend Lease, said the deal meant his firm had broken into a new market because until now it had only won one-off contracts from the public sector.
