Key worker cash not to be sniffed at

“Spot the Key Workers” (26 March, page 28) trotted out the usual list of grumbles about key worker housing schemes. No such scheme will satisfy everybody’s definition of a key worker and no such scheme will satisfy everybody’s funding demands. However, £690m is not to be sniffed at.

Key Worker Living will build upon the success of the Starter Home Initiative to provide homes for a wider range of key workers in those areas of the country where problems of recruitment and retention are most severe.

Also, I want to clarify that Keystart Housing Association has been appointed sole zone agent for Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and west London.

Thames Valley Housing Association is zone agent for Surrey, Moat is zone agent for Kent and Sussex and Swaythling is zone agent for Hampshire. Metropolitan Home Ownership is zone agent for north and east London and Tower Homes is zone agent for south-east and south-west London.
