12:30PM RLF worked on new £2.2m West Sussex primary facility
Olympic gold medallist Kelly Holmes last month opened a new £2.2m primary school in West Sussex. RLF was taken on as quantity surveyor and planning supervisor for the £2.2m new Kingslea primary school, commissioned by West Sussex County Council, in August 2005. The firm worked alongside architect Michael Cook Associates and contractor Bluestone on the project.
Negotiations have now commenced on phase two of the development, to create a dedicated flagship children's centre and nursery adjacent to the school, which will provide support and guidance for families.
Stephen Cheesman, associate partner at RLF Brighton, said: "We are delighted to have been so heavily involved with a project of this nature that will make such a big difference to the local community. Kingslea Primary School is definitely a school of the future."
