Are fully glazed office blocks ‘totally dead’ or is it impossible to have too much glass in buildings provided you do your sums right?

Leading architect Ken Shuttleworth advanced the case for walls and punched windows provocatively in Building Design magazine earlier this year. However, the benefits of thermal performance with daylighting through extensive glazing are increasingly being recognised.

The Glass Debate will look at the impact of the new Building Regulations and the constraints they are putting on designing ‘all glass’ buildings that meet the new standards.

This seminar, on November 10th, is aimed primarily at architects and specifiers, and will include Ken Shuttleworth as one of the speakers.

The Glass Debate – 10 November, One Great George Street, London. Delegate places cost £145 + VAT. To book a place, call J C Events on 020 8755 4441 or send an email to buildingjen@aol.com
