I read with dismay your leader entitled 'Groundhog Day at the JIB' (EMC, May, p5), which could not have been further from reality.

As the editor of a publication that is so influential in the electrical contracting industry, it is sad that you could have got such an important matter so badly wrong.

Who did you speak to? Certainly not the employer leaders of the JIB. Had you done so, the significant positive developments that have occurred over recent years could have been highlighted – as they were at the JIB conference.

The JIB is on the move. There was vibrancy about the conference; there was commitment; there was vision. All of this will be reflected in the conference report, which will be published in due course. This will provide the real story and insight into the very positive role played by the JIB in improving the business environment of the electrical contracting industry.
