Do your qualifications already fulfill the academic requirements for IEng or CEng Registration?

CIBSE awards Interim Registration to graduates who have met the educational standards for registration but have not yet gained the experience to satisfy the professional competences for full registration. Join CIBSE as a graduate member and we will assess your qualifications.

In order to qualify for IEng interim registration you will have achieved one of the following: an ECUK accredited BEng degree; an ECUK accredited BTEC HNC in Building Services Engineering (with no less than 8 level H units including a maths unit and a project) plus a period of further learning to degree level; or an ECUK accredited BTEC HNC started prior to September 1999.

To qualify for CEng interim registration you will have achieved one of the following: an ECUK accredited MEng degree; an ECUK accredited BEng(Hons) degree plus a period of further learning to Master’s level; or an accredited BEng(Hons) degree started prior to September 1999
