Elcomponent has launched the dedicated pc software package PowerPackPro for its SPCmini energy dataloggers.
Based on Elcomponents MeterRing package it includes features such as dynamic graphing, multi-rate tariffs and user definable alarm zones.
Set-up and data download from the SPCmini is via an integrated Bluetooth communication chip.

Clik Service business management software aims to help small firms operate more efficiently. It includes engineer scheduling, maintenance contract planning and plant databases and integrates with packages including Word, Excel and Sage Accounts.
The software can also be used to send jobsheets to staff with handheld PDAs, which can be signed electronically and sent directly to the firm's server.

The IGE+XAO Group has launched a computer aided drawing package that allows the creation of electrical plans.
SEE Electrical LT is an entry level package for users that need to produce less complex electrical plans, allowing the construction of standardised electrical schematics. Once design is complete, the package can create a components list.

Model views
Data Design System (DDS) has launched the IFC Viewer. This free, downloadable software enables m&e engineers to view Industrial Foundation Class (IFC) walkthrough models, even if they do not have supporting design software for these.
It allows users to view 2D and 3D models produced by most software packages. in addition it allows users to view the detailed parameters of any object within the model from different angles.

Estimation's Live Update service provides automatic updates via the Internet of critical information such as prices, plus the mechanisms to deliver software upgrades. It is embedded in the latest versions of the Group's software.
Pricing data, for example, is updated daily, so contractors can ensure the prices they use are always up to date. Any upgrades to software are delivered automatically. It is also being used for the activation of software licences.
