Sketch of the week: School sports hall, London

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by João Alves, an associate at Cundall. He says: “The sketch illustrates a new school sports hall in London, where the roof structure is formed by a series of long-span glulam beams (up to 30m) and cross-laminated timber (CLT) roof panels. The sketch highlights important aspects of the roof construction sequence and structural stability matters and was made during the design stage to help discussions with the design team.”
