Sketch of the week: Crown Inn, Stockport

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Martin Douglas, associate director at Pad Design. He says: “The Crown Inn, Stockport – set among the industrial edges of Stockport’s town centre, this attractive traditional-style pub sits in the shadow of the impressive Stockport Viaduct, which was completed in 1840 using 11 million bricks. A stone’s throw from the River Mersey and surrounded by modern highways, car parks and tyre-fitters, the pub seems from another age. Next time I visit I will have to step inside to try its real ales and what I believe is an interior full of character.”
