Would-be mountaineers and nature lovers take note – there are still a few places left for the 2009 COINS 3 Peaks Challenge, which takes place this year on May 9 and 10.

Hiking up and down the UK’s three tallest mountains in under 24 hours is certainly one of the most physically challenging tasks around. But it is for charity, and challenge is why we all got involved in construction in the first place, right?

Starting with the highest peak, Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, teams will then travel by van to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and on to tackle Snowdon in north Wales. For those who are left standing, there’s a reception on Sunday evening where limping and blisters combine with booze and celebration.

If you’re looking for an event that combines teamwork, networking, stunning views and a physical challenge, the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge is definitely for you.
