How small and medium size construction companies measure up is a new report commissioned by the Construction Best Practice Programme.
Using data solely from businesses involved in the construction industry, the report has been complied using the findings of small and medium sized companies who have received a Benchmark Index analysis.
Divided into sections the report starts with an industry overview. It reveals how sales turnover for typical construction firms is growing more than twice as fast than for businesses in other industries.
Despite this, the report claims that levels of profitability in the construction industry remain poor. It looks at staffing problems and the financial value of individual employees to a firm, revealing that, compared to other industries construction fares much better financially per employee.
The influential role of the Benchmark Index is discussed, as are growth and expansion, and customer satisfaction.
