The Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association has published a technical specification offering guidance to designers specifying air handling units for hospitals.

The specification has been published by the association’s air handling unit group following concerns that there was confusion as a result of contradictions in the requirements in the current CO4 and HTM 2025 specifications.

The new document encompasses the requirements of the yet-to-be-issued HTM 03-01, the amended and updated replacement for HTM 2025 and has been produced following discussions held with the Department of Health consultant to the HTM and C04 specifications.
